The specific expertise of a Planning Consultant is planning permission. We offer advice and support on all matters relating to planning but the starting point is an appraisal.

The Starting Point

We are very grateful that we get so many calls from homeowners and landowners wanting to know whether they are likely to get planning approval for a variety of projects. 

We want help as many people as we can to achieve their development goals, however, a true appraisal of a site will require more than a quick phone call – we know because we’ve been doing this work for over 20 years.  

Obviously, we’re happy to have an initial chat over the phone, but most people will then need either an initial appraisal or a site visit. This allows us to allocate sufficient time to understand your requirements, look in detail at the site and give you the best advice we can.

Objectives

Whether you’re wanting to extend or replace an existing property, or you’re hoping to develop a plot of land, we can help you to make a more informed decision before you go ahead. This valuable information could save you thousands of pounds and lots of heartache!

Although we’ve always carried out in-depth feasibility studies for developers, we also offer a scaled down, more cost-effective version for small scale developers or homeowners in the form of development appraisals. These can’t evaluate every scenario, but will look at the common, critical aspects that people often fail to check, which can leave them with a site they can’t develop the way they had hoped. It covers the main ‘torpedo’ aspects i.e those things that would make a development dead in the water!

Please note that we cannot make any guarantees that you will get planning permission for your chosen development, and we would always advise that you check with your local authority before making a purchase or starting any works.
